Kateryna Bylyk Launches Design Course for Children

Ukrainian influencer and model Kateryna Bylyk has launched a year-long design course for children who dream of creating fashion. The idea grew from the story of the dress "Garden of Life," which was initiated by the children themselves. They approached the influencer with a proposal for a collaborative creative project to remind the world of childhood in wartime.

What touched Kateryna the most was that when the children were given the opportunity to create freely, they painted not war, fear, or darkness, but flowers, animals, mythical creatures, and an entire garden filled with life, hope, and imagination.

"Children who have seen war too closely still chose to paint life. That’s why we named this dress 'Garden of Life,'" says Kateryna Bylyk.

After stepping onto the red carpet, Kateryna decided that this story should not end with just one photo or a social media post. She fully took on the financing of the year-long course for children.

About the Design Course

The training will last for a year. Children will learn to work with ideas, sketches, fabric, form, color, and their own style. At the end of the training, they are expected to create their own merchandise — to go from the first drawing to a real product. The design course will be led by designer Anna Chyrva, founder of the Ukrainian brand Myvo, with whom Kateryna has long collaborated.

"It was important for me that this was not just formal support. Children need to receive a real professional foundation from someone who understands fashion, design, and can teach them not only the techniques but also the attitude towards creativity," Kateryna explains.

This is about long-term support for children who have already shown that they have talent, an inner world, and a desire to create. Kateryna emphasizes that maintaining a connection with the children means giving them a real chance after a beautiful story.
